The most commonly asked question is about when is a good time to do the Newborn Photoshoot.
Well, when it comes to the Timeless style, any day or month is good to do a photoshoot because of the Naturally Beautiful Photography style. The best time to do your Newborn Photoshoot depends on how you want the photos to be and what is it that you like to remember.
Well, let me explain it in a better way by splitting the Newborn category into two ~ Newborn babies (7days to 15 days) and Older babies (15 days to two months old)
Newborn Photoshoot when baby is 7 to 15 days old
The early days are when the baby will still have more womb-like features. The dry skin, little nails, the soft hairs, and a lot more womb-like features to be photographed and remembered. This is the perfect time to do posed Newborn Photos. Like wrap them up into a womb-like curled pose or turn them to tummy and they will be all calm and sleepy. The features they have now as a very new baby will soon change after two weeks. So if you like to capture that freshness and newness of your baby, then the first two weeks are the best.
Older Baby Photoshoot when baby is 15 days to 2 months old
After around two weeks, the baby will begin to be more awake. Looking around and more open eyes. These days are when I get to photograph babies looking into the camera, Looking at parents, smiling. They will not be more curly. They will not like more womb-like wrapped poses. This is when their personality, likes, and dislikes begin to be expressed. They will just push the wrap away if they don't like it and we have to respect that! If you couldn't do the Newborn Photoshoot in the very early days, then you are not late. You still can do the Newborn Photoshoot capturing the tenderness and freshness in the Newborn Baby.
The 2-month mark for an older Newborn Photoshoot simply means to do the photoshoot before the baby begins to turn to the tummy. On the tummy is a different story- baby Milestone time that is. I do the exclusive milestone photo sessions for babies and families. You can know more about it on the Milestone sessions page.
The right time to Make a Newborn Photoshoot Booking?
Usually, my clients make a Newborn Photoshoot booking around the due date. After the baby is born, we confirm an available date and time that best suits the family. When it comes to Newborn Sessions, I plan my calendar in such a way that I can adjust dates a bit for a Newborn Photoshoot. This is basically because I do only one Photoshoot a day. So I can fit in another second session if needed on the same day. This way if mommies need to push the session by a day, I am able to allow that. After all, mommies are really tired and sleepless in those early days. Their comfort is my ultimate priority for a very relaxed session.
Looking forward to seeing you for a Photosession!!!
